Rae Nell Spencer uses items in her abstract paintings such as leaves, lace, netting, and cling wrap as imprints on the paper then adds a touch of sparkle. She also enjoys painting close ups of flowers, landscapes, and seascapes. She paints on various watercolor papers, but especially likes working on synthetic Yupo paper and the new stone/mineral paper. Known for using vivid color, she finds inspiration for her work in the beauty of nature.
Rae Nell Spencer is a watercolor artist living in Oreana, Illinois. She is a long-time member of Gallery 510 and has had paintings selected for National shows in California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. Rae Nell has an Associate of Art Degree from Richland Community College. She has taken numerous workshops, many from nationally known artists.
